Professional Experience

As a NDIS Support Coordinator, my role is to help participants navigate the NDIS system, connect them with the right services, and ensure their plan is implemented in a way that supports their goals. I focus in empowering participants by coordinating tailored supports that align with their individual needs, preferences, and aspirations. I have broad experience working with adults with a diverse range of needs. My approach is built on trust and collaboration, ensuring that each participant receives the right supports to foster their independence and well-being. One of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had was supporting a participant with severe mobility challenges following a stroke. Initially, we faced hurdles such as plan underfunding and navigating the complexities of NDIS processes. Through advocacy and persistence, I secured additional supports, including physiotherapy, assistive technology, and home modifications. These changes allowed the participant to gain greater independence, safely move around their home, and re-engage with the community. This experience reinforced how impactful tailored, persistent support can be.
