Allied Health


Allied Health promotes independence and the ability to support a person with a disability to improve their health and well-being. We are able to provide support in home, at local gyms, hydrotherapy facilities, Telehealth and over the phone.


We provide support for those with complex needs in the following areas:


  • Stroke

  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Spinal Cord Injury
  • Motor Neurone Disease
  • Auto-Immune Disease
  • Genetic disorders
  • Parkinson's disease
  • Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)

Communication

A variety of methods are used to communicate with the participant, plan nominees or family members. These include: 

- Home visits

- Video calls

- Emails

- Team Meetings

- Telephone

- SMS

Dietetics


Dietitians assist with:

  • assessments and consultations to develop  a nutritional meal plan and / or strategies to manage appropriate dietary intake for weight gain or loss
  • implementing a nutritional care plan via support workers if required
  • regular reviews to ensure dietary needs are being met

Physiotherapist


  • conduct assessments and train support workers
  • physiotherapists assists you to develop skills to increase one's independence and meet your NDIS goals

Occupational Therapist


Occupational Therapists (OT) provide: 

  • assessments and feedback to meet your NDIS goals
  • support people whose disability makes it hard for them to do the things they would like to do
  • identify one's strengths and difficulties
  • discuss solutions, and help people (participant, family and support workers) to take part in everyday life through strategies or the use of equipment

Exercise Physiology


Exercise Physiologists:

  • treat patients using clinical exercise as their main modality
  • focus on behavioural change and self-management concepts
